Today in bacon

Today's bacon was part of what in New York is called a "chicken cutlet" sanwich. Everywhere else I think it's just called breaded chicken breast. Anyway, the sandwich consisted of the cutlet, lettuce, tomato, mayo, melted mozzerella cheese, salt, pepper, and four thick slices of bacon. All served on a kaiser roll. The bacon was cooked just the way I like it: still chewy, but not rubbery or crispy. Leaving the sandwich for about 5 minutes before consumption allowed all of the various juices to comingle nicely. 4.5 out of 5.

I had a Los Angeles version of your NY lunch.

I also had a chicken breast sandwich for lunch yesterday with mozzarella and bacon. Not breaded however, grilled. With a really ncie tomato and lettuce. They took forever to make it though, and the bacon was far skimpier than they normally do there. And as always at this place, rude as fuck. Still, it was tasty.

Also this exchange -

Me: No Mayo.

Them: (silence - writes 'no mayo')

Me: But I want mustard.

Them: It doesn't come with mustard.

Me: Yeah. But I want mustard.

Them: (silence. Writes nothing.)

Me: ...mustard...

Needless to say, the sandwich had no mustard.
